A BELGIAN PALE ALE for those not too inclined to drink Belgians, featuring less of the distinctive yeast strains, a sweeter floral body, and a thicker mouthfeel than most from that region. A little hop bite in the aftertaste, but altogether quite heavily tilted towards the maltier and sweeter side of the spectrum despite a nearly 7% ABV. Indeed, its honey-like texture can invoke eastern continental meads much more readily than bready esters associated with the lowland west. Better to stay with their dubbel, in any event.
