Emmett’s Brewing – Munich Light Lager

A VERY WELL-APPORTIONED and slightly zesty lager, a little tilted towards nutty malts and with enough grassy hops in the nose (and towards the backpalate) to support its moderate effervescence. Golden light, modest and lacy head, easy drinking and with a bit of round citrus zip in the aftertaste. One instance in which Emmett’s Midwestern moderation elevates them above some other American overachievers or copycats.

Served: On tap (Emmett’s Tavern, Palatine)

Rating: 85
