A KITCHEN-SINK BREW, featuring almost every ingredient variation of modern American micro stouts. Heavy black roasted coffee in the nose, virtually no translucence and a thick but not enduring head on a molasses sticky pour. Plenty of bitter cocoa in the flavor, where the coffee takes the back seat to black, but not burnt, malts. Brief interlude of carbonation before a sour-sweet finish and at last, a swipe of its 8.3% alcohol. The oatmeal, often too smoothing an agent, ends up being a fine binder here for the more pronounced flavors…but in its fresh form it could still use some cellaring.
